Palestinian medical sources reported on Thursday evening that a Fateh member was shot and killed by unknown gunmen in Rafah, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip. A member of Hamas was shot and moderately injured in Beit Hanoun.
The member was identified as Mohammad Adnan Atiyya, 26. He received a phone call for an unidentified caller who asked to meet him in Al Jneina neighborhood, east of Rafah. Upon arrival he was shot by unknown gunmen.
Atiyya suffered serious injuries in his abdomen and legs, and died of his wounds at Abu Yousef Al Najjar hospital in Rafah.
In a separate incident, a member of Hamas was moderately injured after gunmen fired rounds of live ammunition at him.
The member, identified as Akram Abu Arab, 32, was hit by two rounds of live ammunition in his foot.
