The Israeli army re-closed the Rafah border crossing on Wednesday
morning south of the Gaza strip after opening it Tuesday after noon.


On Tuesday Palestinian sources reproted that an agreement have been reached stating that the European observers will go back to their positions at the terminal and the Israeli army will open it from Tuesday afternoon till Wednesday afternoon to allow Palestinians with medical needs to cross in and out of the Gaza strip.

The Rafah border crossing, which is the only  link for the Palestinians in Gaza Strip with the world, has been closed since five months when the Summer Rain Israeli offensive started in last June.

Palestinian medical sources said they have sent out calls to many Human Rights organizations to demand Israel to open the terminal as it is a vital vein through which the Gaza Strip can get humanitarian supplies.

Israel has pulled out from the Gaza Strip in September 2005 however, it kept control of all the enterances of the strip, which according to local observers.
