Palestinian sources reported that at least three Palestinians were killed and seven were injured when an explosion took place in a gas station in the central West Bank city of Ramallah on Thursday afternoon.
Medical sources in Ramallah stated that three of those injured in the explosion lie in critical conditions. Shortly after the explosion fire brigades ambulance teams and Palestinian police rushed to the scene.
Police sources stated that initial reported are indicating that the explosion occurred due to welding work being done inside the gas station.
Eyewitnesses stated that medical teams and fire engines are in the area to extinguish a fire that started due to the explosion. Neighboring houses and cars sustained massive damage due to the explosion.
