The Palestinian Medical Relief Committees (PMRC) slammed on Wednesday the Israeli military attacks against its medical teams in Nablus, in the northern part of the West Bank.

Dr. Ghassan Hamdan, head of the PMRC in Nablus and the coordinator of the Popular Committee against Closure, was attacked by the soldiers who also detained him for three hours.

In a phone call with IMEMC, Dr. Hamdan said that he was the only one injured, since soldiers assaulted him while he was in their custody.

Dr. Hamdan suffered cuts to several parts of his body, and some of his left hand figures wee broken, the Palestinian News Agency WAFA reported.

Dr. Hamdan stated that the Israeli military attacks against medical teams are direct violations to the international law.

He added that soldiers attacked Palestinians peacefully protesting near the Huwwara checkpoint, close to Nablus, while marking the International Women's Day.

Troops also attacked PMRC teams who were present at the protest.

The PMRC stated that the attack against its teams, and other medical teams performing their duties, is part of the continuous Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people.
