The Palestinian Journalists Union in Gaza Strongly denounced on Monday the abduction of Allan Johnson, a BBC reporter working in the Gaza Strip, by a group of unknown gunmen.

The Palestinian Journalists Union in Gaza Strongly denounced on Monday the abduction of Allan Johnson, a BBC reporter working in the Gaza Strip, by a group of unknown gunmen.

The Union described the abduction as “am immoral act that represents a direct violation to the humanitarian and Palestinian laws”, and called on all parties and institutions to act immediately in order to secure his release and stop such violations from occurring.

Also, the Union called for securing the safety of all international and local reporters, in addition to securing the safety of international activists and workers.

Meanwhile, the Palestinian Ministry of Interior demanded all security devices to end all forms of chaos and insecurity and to bring the assailants to justice.

Several Palestinian factions, social institutions and human rights groups also denounce the abduction of the reporter, and called for his safe release.
