In the northern part of the West Bank, the Israeli army invaded the city of Qalqilia and abducted 18 residents. Two people were also taken prisoner from the village of Assira Al Shamalia near Nablus city. Israeli army forces invaded downtown Qalqilia city, searched scores of houses then took the 18 to an unknown detention camp. Local sources reported that among those abducted were; Arafah Al Rabi, Omer Thiab, and Ahmad Al Saman.
Meanwhile, Amjad Jawabra, 20, and Ibarheem Athamnah, 17, were taken from the village of Assira Al Shamalia after the army searched and attacked their homes. Also on Wednesday at dawn, the Israeli army invaded the village of Al Khadier, south of the southern West Bank city of Bethlehem, and abducted six residents after attacking and searching scores of houses in the village. Among those abducted were Suliman Da'do', 46, Mohamed Sobeh, 38, and Khadier Salah, 50, local sources reported.
Villages near the city of Hebron, in the southern part of the West Bank, were also attacked by the Israeli army on Wednesday at dawn. Soldiers attacked and searched houses in the villages of Sourif and Yatta. Soldiers abducted 7 men during the search campaign, eyewitnesses reported. Local sources reported that soldiers damaged families' belongings and forced families out of their homes during the search campaign. Among those abducted were Amer Ar'ar, 30, Mohamed Abu Fara, 23, both from Sourif village and Mohamed Al Nawaj'a, 33, from Yata village, all were taken to unknown detention camps.
On Wednesday morning the Prisoners' Society office in the city of Hebron issued a statement that stated that number of people taken prisoner by the Israeli army during the month of March. According to the statement, with today's seven abductees the number of civilians abducted by the Israeli forces from the city of Hebron and nearby village has risen to 82 in the month of March.
