Al-Quds Brigades, the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad movement in Palestine, claimed responsibility for an attack that targeted a special Israeli army unit in the northern Gaza Strip town of Beit Hanoun.
The Brigades said that its operatives detonated, shortly after midnight, two roadside bombs near the vehicle the undercover unit were driving. The Islamic Jihad group confirmed that some of unit members were injured.
The Israel army did not release any statement regarding this alleged attack. Palestinian medical sources reported on Wednesday that an undercover Israeli army unit killed a Palestinian resident and kidnapped another in Beit Hanoun.
