The Palestinian Center For Human Rights, in Gaza, published its weekly report on the Israeli violations of human rights in the occupied Palestinian territories in the period between March 29 and April 4.During the reporting period Israeli troops shot and killed four Palestinians, including one child, in the occupied territories.
Israeli troops carried out a total of 23 invasions in the occupied West Bank, and two invasions in the Gaza Strip.
One Palestinian child was killed by Israeli military fire in Jenin, in the northern part of the West Bank, two other children in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip died of wounds sustained earlier. One resistance fighter was killed in the northern part of the Gaza Strip.
Soldiers also shot and injured twelve Palestinian civilians, including three children. Seven of the injured were wounded during the weekly non-violent protest against the Illegal Wall in Bil’in village, near the northern West Bank city of Ramallah. One journalist was among the injured in Bil’in.
Soldiers carried out a total of 24 invasions in Palestinian communities in the occupied territories, and kidnapped 24 citizens including one child. Seven civilians were abducted at Israeli military roadblocks in the occupied West Bank.
Israeli settlers attacked several farmers in the West Bank and barred them from reaching their farms and orchards.
Settlers in the southern West Bank city of Hebron continue to occupy a Palestinian house for the second consecutive week. The army continued to provide them with protection.
Also, settlers attacked and harshly beat up a Palestinian civilian in Al Shuhada Street in Hebron.
The Israeli Authorities continued the construction of the Illegal Wall in the occupied West Bank, and annexed 80 Dunams of land belonging to residents of Azzoun and Jayyous, near Qalqilia, in the northern part of the West Bank.
Dozens of Dunams of farmlands were razed in Wadi Rahhal village, near Bethlehem.
The Israeli forces continue to impose a total siege on the Palestinian territories.
Full siege remained in place in the Gaza Strip as it continues to suffer shortages in fuels, medical supplies and basic commodities.
The closure was tightened due to the Jewish holiday of Passover, and all border crossings between the occupied territories and Israel will remain closed until April 9.
Humanitarian cases, medical crews and religious figures will be allowed to pass through the border crossings given the condition that they obtain a special permit from the army. International relief workers were allowed to cross.
Palestinians carrying Jerusalem identity cards had to hand their identity cards to the Israeli ministry of interior before travelling to visit their relatives in the Gaza Strip.
