Four Palestinian civilians were kidnapped from their homes as the Israeli army attacked and searched a number of homes in the village of Kufer Ra’e south West of Jenin city located in the northern part of the West Bank on Tuesday ay dawn.
At least 15 Israeli military vehicles stormed the village, soldiers then searched and ransacked scores of residents homes, before leaving the army kidnapped four men and took them to unknown detention camps, witnesses reported.
Those kidnapped were identified as; Ayman Yihia, 33, Mohamed Ibraheem, 22, Sohieb Thiab, 21, and Mohamed Atrash, 20.
The army stated that its operations today were aimed at locating and kidnapping local Palestinian resistance fighter, Palestinian sources reported that kidnapped today by the army are civilians.
By the end of last week the number of Palestinians kidnapped and forced into detention camps since the beginning of this year has risen to 1,062. There are currently around 11,000 Palestinian political prisoners in Israeli detention camps, the majority held without charges.
