One Palestinian civilian was reported dead on Thursday midday due to wounds he sustained on Wednesday’s Hamas Fatah infighting in Gaza.Medical sources identified the man as Kareem Abu Meghasib, 24 from Gaza city.
On Wednesday’s clashes the number of Palestinians killed now stands at 17, with infighting between Fatah and Hamas having claimed the lives of a total of 41 people so far this week. Medical sources have stated that at least 100 people currently lie injured in hospitals across Gaza due to the infighting.
The streets of central Gaza City echoed on Wednesday with the rattle of machine gun fire, even after the Palestinian Prime Minister Isma’l Hannia met with different Palestinian factional leaders and declared a truce in the clash.
A tense calm returned to the Gaza Strip early Thursday shortly after PM Hannia meet with different leaders of Palestinian political groups who agreed to another cease fire.
