Israeli online daily, Egyptian security sources reported on Wednesday that the Egyptian border police shot and killed two Africans from the Ivory Coast, after they tried to infiltrate into Israel. Six others were arrested.An Egyptian security spokesperson , speaking on condition of anonymity, said that a security patrol noticed a 22 year-old youth and an 18 year-old girl trying to infiltrate into Israel as they attempted to get over a border barbed-wire.
The spokesperson added that the security forces ordered them to stop but they refused and ran towards the Israeli direction before the policemen shot them dead.
Moreover, the sources said that four women from Eritrea and two men from Ethiopia were arrested as they attempted to enter Israel from another border area.
It is worth mentioning that one migrant from the Ivory Coast was shot dead earlier in January as he attempted to cross into Israel.
