Three Palestinian young boys were injured when Israeli troops opened fire at them in the village of Al-Khader south of Bethlehem on Saturday at night.Coordinator of the popular committee against the wall in the village Samer Jaber told IMEMC that four were injured in their legs, but their injuries were described as light while one of them sustained moderate injuries and was taken to Ramallah hospital for treatment. Three of the wounded were identified as, Khaled Salah, 16, Ahmad Sbeih, 17 and Mohammad Issa 20.
Jaber maintained that the soldiers positioned on the bypass road number 60, army opened unprovoked fire at the village, as there was nothing going on at the time. He added that Israeli attacks and assaults against the villagers in Al-Khader has increased after the popular committee increased it nonviolent resistance against the wall and settlements in Bethlehem area in the past few months.
The annexation wall confiscates a large area from the village; a big portion of it belongs to the Greek Orthodox Church, who has not been active to prevent the confiscation.
