The Hamas movement announced on Thursday that the Palestinian Authority forces affiliated with the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas of Fatah arrested 8 members of the movement from several areas of the West Bank on Wednesday.

According to a press statement Fatah security forces arrested Hamadah Al Diek, from Salfit. While in Nablus they arrested Mohamed Abu Al Izz as he was on his way home from the school where he teaches.

In Tulkarem PA security forces searched the houses of Ali Jietawi and Ayman Shahrur before arresting them, Hamas sources stated.

Ahmad Roubeen, was taken from his home in the West Bank city of Qalqilia on Wednesday night. He had been released from an Israeli detention camp a month ago.

In Jenin in the northern West Bank, Abbas’ forces arrested Iyad Efrihat and Ahmad Eghnimah after searching their homes, the press statement read.
