Workers of different institutions run by the UNRWA in the West Bank and Jerusalem held a strike on Thursday protesting against the Israeli attacks and violations against the Gaza Strip.The strike included all health, education and social facilities of the UNRWA, and all UNRWA run schools and medical centers were closed except for urgent cases.
Thousands of school students studying at UNRWA run schools were sent back home after the second school class.
Hundreds of UNRWA employees protested at Bab Al Zqaq in Jerusalem, and carried posters calling on the International Community to intervene and stop the Israeli attacks against the Palestinian people.
Similar protests were held at UNRWA centers in several West Bank refugee camps.
