Israeli security sources reported that two Israelis were lightly injured on Tuesday after the Palestinian resistance factions launched two homemade shells on the nearby Israeli city of Asqalan located north of the Gaza Strip.

The Al-Quds Brigades, the Armed wing of the Islamic Jihad movement and the Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades, the armed wing of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine claimed responsibility on Tuesday for attacking an Israeli tank with two RPJs east of the al Maghazi refugee camp in the central the Gaza Strip and set the tank on fire. In their joint statement, the two brigades said that this attack is in response to the Israeli escalation on the resistance fighters. Meanwhile, the Salah Al-Din Brigades, the armed wing of the Popular Resistance Committees claimed responsibility for launching a homemade shell on an Israeli military force east of the Maghazi. The spokesperson of the Israeli army stated that the Palestinian resistance fighters had targeted the nearby Israeli military post at the Kesofim crossing on the borders with Israel close to Dir al Balah city on Tuesday morning with five homemade shells which exploded nearby.
