The Al Quds Brigades, the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad, reported that one of its fighters died on Friday evening of wounds sustained during an Israeli shelling that targeted Rafah, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, on Wednesday evening.The Brigades stated that Usama Abdul-Majid Al Hooby, 38, died of his wounds on Friday evening.
The Brigades added that the fighter was in charge of the engineering and weaponry unit in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.
The Israeli air strike targeted Awad Al Qeeq, one of the leaders of the Brigades. He was killed and several bystanders, including Al Hooby, were wounded; two seriously.
The Brigades stated that it will continue its resistance until liberation and independence.
