The Israeli army invaded Faggar village in the southern part of the West Bank city of Bethlehem on Thursday midday and confiscated equipment from 45 stone quarries in the area. Local sources reported that a number of Israeli military vehicles accompanied by Israeli trucks invaded the industrial zone. After having searched and ransacked the area, they confiscated equipment and a number of bulldozers at an estimated worth of several millions of dollars. Locals added that stone quarries are considered a source of livelihood for many Palestinians and called for humanitarian institutions to interfere immediately, noting that this is not the first time an attack of this kind has occured.
