A number of fundamental groups in Israel called on their supporters to attack the Al Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem on Sunday as part of a ceremony dedicated to the ‘temple mount’ day. The Al Aqsa foundation issued a press release stating the fundamental groups are planning a ceremony on Sunday evening, and that they would call for breaking into the Al Aqsa mosque in the coming days.
The foundation added that fundamental Jewish groups are stepping up their attempts to break into the mosque, and are supported by a number of political and religious groups in Israel.
Several fundamentalists broke into the mosque last week, and left it fast due to the presence of Muslim worshipers especially those who are staying at the mosque to protect it from such anticipated attacks amidst calls by fundamental Jewish groups to break into the mosque, especially during Jewish feasts.
