Palestinian medical sources reported, Wednesday morning, that a 65-year-old man was wounded by a live round fired by Israeli soldiers stationed near the Sofa Crossing east of Rafah, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.The man was moved to the European Hospital suffering from a gunshot injury to the neck. His condition was described as moderate.
The incident took place after the army opened fire on several Palestinian homes located close to the Sofa terminal between Khan Younis and Rafah.
On Tuesday evening, several armoured Israeli vehicles invaded an area in al-Qarara town, north of Khan Younis. No clashes were reported and later the army withdrew.
