Palestinian sources reported, on Wednesday, that Israeli army prevented firefighters from extinguishing a fire that broke out in an orchard on the village of Safa, in the northern part of Hebron.Muhammad Awwad, a Palestinian media spokesperson, said that the army prevented the firefighters from reaching the fire for more than two hours, which burned dozens of forest trees.
He added that the firefighters used simple tools to put out the fire with the help of youths in the National Committee Against the Wall and Settlement Construction and the Palestinian Solidarity Project in Hebron.
He also added that during the process of putting out the fire, the army demanded the firefighters and forced the youths to leave the area. They detained Sufian Abedi, aged 19, Azez Khalel, 20, and Anwar Khalel, 15. All were moved to an unknown destination.
