A fighter of the al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of the Hamas movement, was killed, on Thursday evening, when he accidentally shot himself while cleaning his gun in Jabalia refugee camp, in the northern part of the Gaza Strip. The Brigades identified the fighter as Bilal Maher Zaqqout, 22 years old, from Jabalia refugee camp.
Adham Abu Salmiyya, spokesperson of the Medical Services, stated that Zaqqout accidentally shot himself in the chest and died of his wounds.
