The armed wing of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine – General Command launched a projectile on Monday from the Gaza Strip into Israel, the Ma’an News Agency reported.The Jihad Jibril Brigades fired the projectile at a moshav, a town or village based on an agricultural cooperative, according to statement released by the group.
This weekend has seen an increase in the number of projectiles fired from Gaza, with the Israeli military claiming 49 were fired on Saturday and three on Sunday.
Saturday’s attack was claimed by the al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of the Hamas movement, with Sunday’s fire claimed by the armed wing of the Popular Resistance Committees, the Salah ad-Din Brigades.
In response the Israeli military carried out a number of attacks on locations in Gaza resulting in six injuries and the destruction of power lines.
