The Israeli Air Force carried out on Wednesday at night an air strike targeting the border area, between Gaza and Egypt, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, and a shed in Gaza City.Palestinian medical sources reported that five residents were injured, and one remained missing, likely buried under the rubble, after the Israeli Air Force bombarded a tunnel at the Gaza-Egypt border, in Rafah, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

The sources said that five residents were moved to Abu Yousef Al Najjar Hospital in Rafah, while a tunnel worker remained missing under the rubble. His fate remains unknown.

The Israeli Air Force fire one missile into the tunnel, allocated for smuggling construction materials into the besieged Gaza strip, destroying it causing damages to nearby tunnels.

The Israeli Air Force carried out on Wednesday at night an air strike targeting the border area, between Gaza and Egypt, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, and a shed in Gaza City.

Local sources reported that at least two missile were fired into a tunnel in Rafah causing excessive damage to the runnel and nearby areas, and setting the tunnel ablaze. No injuries were reported until the time of this report.

In addition, the Israeli Air Force carried out another air strike, using a high velocity missile, targeting a shed in Al Shejaeyya neighborhood, east of Gaza City.

The targeted shed was destroyed, while a number of nearby homes were damaged.
The shed belongs to Daghmash family; it was first bombarded several days ago.

The recent escalation by Israel is the latest in a series of attacks carried out by the army against several areas in the Gaza Strip.

On Wednesday at dawn, the Israeli Air Force carried out two air strikes targeting a blacksmith workshop in Gaza City, leading to excessive damage and one injury.

Several nearby homes sustained damages; the main waterline in the neighborhood was shattered.

Two hours after the initial attack, the Air Force struck the same area again causing further damage and destruction.
