Dozens of Palestinian marched on Friday at Borqeen village, to express solidarity with Palestinian political prisoners, Hana Ash-Shalabi who has been on hunger strike for 16 days.The procession began after midday prayers, when the protesters starting marching in the village, near the northern West Bank city of Jenin.
The participants raised the Palestinian flags, placards and banners calling for the release of the Hana’, and all political prisoners held by Israel.
The protest ended at the protest tent that was set-up outside the house of Ash-Shalabi in Borqeen.
Addressing the protestors, Ash-Shalabi’s brother said “We will continued our activities and marches in solidarity with my sister”. He also called on Human Rights Organizations to intervene and secure the immediate release of his sister.
Representing National and Islamic Factions, Rajeh Qablawi stated in a statements that ‘The example set by Ash-Shalabi, and her determination, exposes the true and cruel face of the Israeli occupation, aggression and injustice’.
