Palestinian medical sources reported Monday that eight school children were injured when a group of extremist Israeli settlers, from the illegal settlement of Yitzhar, attacked them in Orif village, south of the northern West Bank city of Nablus.Wattan News reported that the settlers invaded the village, and attacked dozens of school children wounding eight.
Israeli soldiers arrived at the scene, and instead of removing the invading settlers, fired gas bombs and concussion grenades at the students.
On Friday, Israeli settlers attacked local and international law professors participating in a conference regarding Palestine’s membership at the United Nations, organized by the Hebron University, in Hebron city, in the southern part of the West Bank.
The attacks are part of ongoing and escalating assaults against the Palestinians, their lands, property and holy sites in different parts of the occupied West Bank, including in occupied East Jerusalem.
