Eight Palestinian children injured as settlers attack a West Bank village and the Israeli military kidnaps thirteen Palestinians. These stories and more coming up, stay tuned

Eight school children were injured, on Monday, when a group of Israeli settlers from the illegal Yitzhar settlement, attacked them in Orif village, near the northern West Bank city of Nablus.

The Palestinian Wattan News reported that the settlers invaded the village, and attacked dozens of school children wounding eight. Israeli soldiers arrived at the scene and fired tear gas bombs and concussion grenades at the students.

Earlier today Israeli soldiers kidnapped thirteen Palestinians from different parts of the West Bank, and took them to unknown destinations; at least three of the kidnapped were children.

Local sources reported five of the kidnapped today by soldiers were university students, in Hebron, in the southern part of the West Bank including a 24 year old female. Three children were kidnapped from the town of Beit Ummar near Hebron after troops broke into their homes.

In the meantime, Palestinian media sources said that a senior Israeli military officer phoned the principal of a local school in the town of Yatta near Habron and threatened to close the school. The military officer claimed that students frequently throw rocks from the school at settler cars that pass by the school.

In other news an Israeli military court rejected, on Monday, an appeal filed by lawyer Jamil Al-Khateeb, on behalf of two Palestinian Prisoners who are on hunger strike.

Bilal Thiab and Thaer Halahla, declared an open-ended hunger strike demanding the end of their administrative detention, their immediate release and end of maltreatment of other Palestinian prisoners by their Israeli captives.

Until this moment, the Israeli authorities did not bring any charges against both prisoners.

Israeli bulldozers destroyed on Monday the village of Al-Araqeeb in the southern desert of al-Naqab for the 37th time. Bulldozers rolled into the village in the morning accompanied by a n number of Israeli soldiers and police and removed all structures in the village except for the mosque and the cemetery. Palestinian media sources reported that the residents started immediately to rebuild the houses after the Israeli bulldozers left.
