Israeli soldiers invaded on Monday evening Kufr Qaddoum village, near the northern West Bank city of Qalqilia, and abducted a Palestinian security officer; clashes were reported between local residents and the invading Israeli soldiers.Local sources reported that the army abducted Mohye Mohammad Shtewy, 33 years old, a Palestinian security officer, and took him to an unknown destination.

The sources added that clashes took place between the invading soldiers and local residents who hurled stones and empty bottles at them. Soldiers fired gas bombs and rubber-coated metal bullets at the residents, and also targeted a number of homes with gas bombs.

Kufr Qaddoum is one of the West Bank villages that hold weekly non-violent protests against the illegal Israeli Annexation Wall and Israel’s illegal settlements.

The protesters, accompanied by Israeli and International peace activists, are also demanding Israel to open the village’s entrance that was blockaded by the army more than 12 years ago.
