Palestinian medical sources reported that a Palestinian man died on Friday evening of wounds suffered at noon when the army fired two missiles at a motorcycle, driving in Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, wounding three residents.The Higher Committee of Medical and Emergency Services in Gaza reported that the slain resident was identified as Naji Qdeih, 34.
On Friday at dawn, an Israeli soldier and a Palestinian fighter were killed during armed clashes near the Kissufim Israeli military base in Central Gaza.
The army deployed its fighter-jets and its tanks along the border and fired several shells into open areas near Khan Younis. Soldiers also used smoke bombs while helicopters were landing in the area.
Also on Friday, five Palestinians were wounded when the Israeli air force fired missiles targeting Abasan Al-Kabeera town, east of Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.
Last week, two Israeli soldiers of the Golani Brigade were wounded during a gun battle with Palestinian fighters near Kissufim.
