Israeli Occupation Forces moved a military checkpoint near the village of al-Khader, south of Bethlehem, on Sunday. The move annexed 3,000 square meters of Palestinian land.According to Ma’an and WAFA news, the checkpoint at the entrance to Navi Daniel settlement was moved 400 meters, and Palestinian farmers will now need a permit to access their own farmland.
This means that effectively, Israel has confiscated the villager’s productive farmland just before Palestinians were set to begin their yearly harvest.
Illegal Israeli settlers have recently increased attacks on the village of al-Khader confiscating property, razing land and destroying water wells and cisterns.
