Army Bombards Gaza, One Resident Injured
Palestinian medical sources reported that one resident was wounded when the Israeli army bombarded an open area in Sheikh Radwan neighborhood, in Gaza City. The army also boarded several areas in the Gaza Strip, including a training center that belong to the Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of the Hamas movement. The Israeli escalation was carried out late on Friday at night, and on Saturday at dawn.
The sources said that the wounded resident was moved to the Ash-Shifa Hospital, west of Gaza city, suffering moderate injuries.
Also, an Israeli war-jet fired one missile at an open land near the main Salah Ed-Deen road, close to the Al-Buriej refugee camp, in central Gaza; damage to several nearby homes and property was reported.
The Air Force also fired a missile close to the Gaza Power Plant in central Gaza leading to damages in a number of nearby homes.
On Saturday at dawn, the army carried out several airstrikes targeting different parts of the Gaza Strip, including a training camp for the Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, in Sheikh Radwan neighborhood, in Gaza city. Soldiers also bombarded resistance centers in An-Nusseirat and Al-Boreij refugee camps.
The army claimed that the bombardment was carried out after resistance groups fired homemade shells into nearby Israeli areas; no injuries or damages were reported.
