Israeli Yedioth Aharonoth reported that an Israeli drone made an emergency landing near the northern West Bank city of Nablus on Wednesday evening.
The newspaper added that the drone completed what it called “a military operation” before a technical malfunction forced it to land as the drone’s wing was cracked and the army was forced to retrieve the drone.

The drone’s model is Sky Rider, one of the smallest unmanned aerial vehicles in possession of the Israeli army and it is generally used for surveillance tasks.

The Israeli army shot down, nearly two weeks ago, a drone that was flying over areas south of the country; the drone managed to record images of sensitive Israeli military bases.

The drone is believed to have been manufactured by Iran, and was fired by Hezbollah.
