Media sources in the Gaza Strip reported that an Israeli armored troop carrier vehicle was hit by an explosion near Al-Qarara town, east of Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip; damage was reported, no injuries.The vehicle was hit by a roadside bomb placed, along the border area with Gaza, by Palestinian resistance fighters in the coastal region.
Following the explosion, the army opened fire in different directions targeting several areas in Al-Qarara.
The army said that the soldiers opened fire at the location where they believe the fighters came from to plant the explosion, and added that the fighters were hiding in the area to watch and document the attack.
