[Friday Evening December 21, 2013] Israeli soldiers shot and killed one Palestinian, and injured four more Palestinians in two different attacks, close to border areas in the coastal region.Medical sources said resident Odah Hamad, 22, was seriously wounded by Israeli army fire, and died as medics were transporting him to a local hospital.
Local sources have reported that Hamad was working close to the border fence in Beit Hanoun, in northern Gaza when the soldiers opened fire at him for “approaching the border fence”.
Furthermore, two Palestinians were shot and injured by army fire near the Eastern Graveyard, in Jabalia in northern Gaza.
Several armored Israeli military vehicles and tanks also invaded an area east of Jabalia, and opened fire at random, eyewitnesses said.
They added that a number of armored bulldozers leveled and uprooted agricultural lands in the area.
Also on Friday, the Al-Quds Brigades, the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad, stated that two of its fighters were wounded by Israeli army fire close to the border fence, in Khan Younis.
They were moved to a local hospital suffering moderate injuries.
