Israeli soldiers have arrested two Palestinians in the town of Ni’lin, West of Ramallah in Palestine.Both were political leaders of the Hamas movement.
According to the Palestinian News Network (PNN), the soldiers invaded the homes of both persons and violently searched them, causing property damage during the arrests.
One of the arrested, Shokry Mahmoud al-Khawaja, was released from an Israeli prison one month ago.
In related news, WAFA reports that Israeli soldiers arrested, early Tuesday, nine people from various areas of the West Bank, according to security sources.
Three people, two aged 23 and the third 22, were arrested during raids on several neighborhoods in the northern West Bank city of Nablus.
Soldiers also raided the town of Jaba, south of Jenin, arresting four people in their mid to late 20s, after raiding and searching their homes.
Israeli forces also arrested a 20-year-old resident of Dura, south of Hebron, after searching his family home and causing heavy damage to its furniture.
Also arrested was a 22-year-old from the old city of Hebron.
