[Wednesday at Dawn, February 19, 2014] A number of Israeli settlers punctured the tires of more than 30 Palestinian cars, and wrote racist graffiti on a number of walls in Shurfat village, in occupied East Jerusalem.Local sources said that, as the families left their homes in the morning, they found the punctured tires in addition to racist graffiti on the walls of several homes in the area.
The graffiti included “Death to Arabs” and “Arab thieves”, among other slurs against the Arabs and Palestinians.
The cars belong to various families, including Awad, Barhoum, Mara’sha, Kamal, Sobhy, Zeitawy, and Mheisen.
The area is surrounded by various illegitimate Israeli settlements built on Palestinian lands in direct violation of International Law.
There have been dozens of similar attacks against Palestinian cars and homes in occupied Jerusalem, as well as several parts of occupied Palestine.
Such attacks included burning or attempting to burn mosques and churches, in addition to defacing several mosques, churches, Islamic and Christian graveyards.
Settler groups are responsible for cutting thousands of trees and saplings, in addition to burning Palestinian farmlands and orchards, and flooding them with waste-water.
Back on Monday at Dawn, [February 10, 2014] A number of settlers invaded the Wad Yasoul area in Silwan town, occupied East Jerusalem, also puncturing the tires of around 30 Palestinian vehicles.
They also wrote racist graffiti on walls of several homes, and on a public transportation Palestinian bus.
