Hundreds in the Gaza Strip recently took part in the launching of the annual Global March to Jerusalem.The Global March to Jerusalem is an international movement held in support of the Palestinian struggle for freedom and in protest of the continued Israeli occupation of Jerusalem( al-Quds). The event coincides with the 47th anniversary of the occupation of East Jerusalem (al-Quds) by Israeli forces, and is also being held in several countries around the world, Al Ray reports with Press TV:
Protesters voiced slogans demanding the liberation of historic Palestine, from the River Jordan to the Mediterranean, with Hamas calling on the freedom-seeking people of the world in defense of the Islamic and Christian holy sites in the Jerusalem.
This year’s march was also joined by pro-Palestinian activists from the United States, Spain and France.
According to organizers, Jerusalem solidarity activities will continue around the world until the 8th of June.
