[Monday Evening, June 16 2014] Israeli army bulldozers demolished several Palestinian structures, including residential, in al-‘Ezariyya town, occupied East Jerusalem. The Maan News Agency has reported that military bulldozers, accompanied by several Israeli military jeeps, demolished a vegetable shop, a residential structure and a car wash facility, near the entrance of the town.
The destroyed structures belong to resident Sami Abu Ghalia.
Abu Ghalia told Maan that his 150-square-meter car wash facility was removed after the army confiscated all of its equipment, and that the soldiers also demolished his 70-square-meter store without allowing him to remove his goods and belongings. His losses are estimated at 80.000 NIS.
He said this is the fourth attack against his structures in the last five months, adding that Israel alleges the lands are state-owned, as it continues its plans to build and expand its Jewish-only settlements in the area.
Abu Ghalia further complained that the Palestinian Authority never provided him any financial help or legal support.
