A young Palestinian man dies after setters ran him over with their car meanwhile Israeli war planes bombards Gaza regardless of the truce extension. These stories, and more, coming up, stay tuned.
A young Palestinian man was killed after being rammed by a settler’s vehicle near an illegal Israeli settlement, in the central West Bank district of Salfit. Mohammad Abdul-Karim Abu Salim, 23, from Hares village, near Salfit, was struck by the settler’s vehicle as he was trying to cross the road, close to the Borkan illegal settlement.
Israeli police officers and an Israeli ambulance arrived at the scene, but Mohammad was already dead; a Palestinian ambulance moved the slain youngster to the Salfit governmental hospital. The Palestinian police said it is investigating the issue, in an attempt to determine whether the incident was a deliberate attack. The Palestinian TV said Mohammad was preparing for his wedding.
In other news, Explosives experts of the Palestinian police in Jenin, defused on Thursday an explosive object, dropped by the Israeli army during training, in Tammoun town, in the central West Bank district of Tubas. The police said it received a call from a concerned citizen who located an unknown object in a Palestinian area frequently used by the Israeli army for military training, in Tammoun. The police then arrived at the scene, and closed the area, before explosive experts defused the Israeli explosive object.
There have been many Palestinian casualties, including children and shepherds, resulting from explosive objects and materials left behind by the Israeli military during training in the West Bank.
Eleier on Thursday, Israeli soldiers kidnapped, late at night and on Thursday at dawn, at least 64 Palestinians in different parts of the occupied West Bank, and in occupied East Jerusalem, and moved them to a number of interrogation facilities.
In the Gaza strip, Israeli war jets have carried out airstrikes across Gaza early Thursday, shortly after a new ceasefire extension came into effect.
An official from the Palestinian interior ministry has reported four airstrikes over open ground, occurring 30 minutes into the truce extension which supposed to last for 5 days. On Wednesday, both Palestinian and Israeli delegations in Cairo agreed to extend the truce for another five days to try to reach a deal.
