Israeli settlers injure a Palestinian woman in the West Bank and troops attack residents in Jerusalem. These stories, and more, coming up, stay tuned.
Israeli soldiers invaded several Palestinian homes in the Old City of occupied East Jerusalem, and violently assaulted three young Palestinian men, causing various cuts and bruises.
Local sources said the soldiers assaulted Omar az-Za’anin, Ramzi az-Za’anin and Mohammad az-Zaghal, after invading their homes in Jerusalem, adding that the assaulted Palestinians suffered various cuts and bruises.
The sources added that the soldiers wanted to occupy the rooftops of the homes of the kidnapped residents, in order to fire at young Palestinian men, during confrontations between the army and local youths.
Clashes took place overnight and lasted till Wednesday dawn hours in different parts of occupied Jerusalem, as protests continue following the death of Mahmoud ‘Adwan, who was shot and killed by the army in the Qalandia refugee camp, on Tuesday at dawn.
Soldiers fired dozens of gas bombs, concussion grenades and rubber-coated metal bullets, wounding many Palestinians.
On Wednesday at dawn, soldiers kidnapped three Palestinians in occupied Jerusalem, after breaking into their homes and searching them, causing property damage.
In other news, a Palestinian woman was injured after being hit by a speeding Israeli settler’s car, east of the northern West Bank city of Qalqilia.
Local sources said that the woman, Emtithal Abdullah Qashwa’, was struck while trying to cross the road, and that the settler fled the scene. Qashwa’ is a teacher at the Nabi Elias Secondary School, east of Qalqilia.
She was moved to the Darwish Nazzal Hospital in Qalqilia, suffering several fractures and bruises. Her injuries have been described as moderate-but-stable.
There have been numerous similar incidents in different parts of the occupied West Bank, including in Jerusalem, causing dozens of injuries and several fatalities. On Monday, November 24, a child suffered several fractures and bruises, after being struck by a speeding settler’s vehicle, west of occupied Jerusalem.
