Palestinian youth dies after being shot by Israeli troops gunfire and the army issue more administrative detention orders against Palestinian detainees. These stories, and more, coming up, stay tuned.

A Palestinian youth was announced dead on Wednesday afternoon after succumbing to wounds he sustained last week.

On Wednesday March 18, Israeli forces invaded Al Jalazonerefugee camp in the central West Bank city of Ramallah and opened gunfire randomly at residents injuring Ali Safi, 20 years old, in his chest.

Safi was moved to Ramallah hospital for treatment and remained there until he was pounced dead today, local sources reported on Wednesday.

During the invasion last week to Al Jalazonesoldiers fired dozens of rounds of live ammunition at local youths, during clashes that took place after the army invaded the area. Several residents have also been injured during ensuing clashes, but their wounds have been described as mild.

Earlier on Wednesday at dawn, Israeli soldiers kidnapped four Palestinians in different parts of the occupied West Bank, stormed and searched dozens of homes, and detained many residents on roadblocks, while two were kidnapped late on Tuesday at night.

Kidnappings and home searches were reported in the southern West Bank city of Hebron, central West Bank city of Ramallah in addition to Jenin, Nablus and Tulkarem, in northern west Bank.

In other news, Israeli authorities have issued administrative detention orders against 81 Palestinian detainees since the beginning of March, said the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS).

Administrative detention date back to the time of British Mandate Palestine which allows the Israeli military to hold prisoners indefinitely on secret information without charging them or allowing them to stand trial.
