The Israeli occupation’s aggression on the city of Jenin and its refugee camp continues for the 83rd consecutive day, with a dangerous escalation in destruction and bulldozing operations, and the transformation of civilian homes into military outposts.

On Monday, Israeli forces raided the Government Hospital in the West Bank city of Jenin and abducted a 16-year-old boy, Ahmed Awartani.

The Israeli occupation forces persist in a policy of systematic destruction, having detonated and demolished several homes in the Al-Damj neighborhood. Meanwhile, military bulldozers have been carving a new road in the Joura Al-Dhahab area for about a week.

Occupation forces have ordered families in the Al-Hadaf neighborhood to evacuate their homes in preparation for searches and their conversion into military positions.

The occupation has reinforced its military presence, sending more soldiers and armored vehicles through the Al-Jalama checkpoint toward the camp’s outskirts.

Infantry units have been deployed in the Al-Ghabz and Wadi Burqin areas, while road expansion and construction operations continue, reshaping the camp’s landscape through the destruction of residential infrastructure.

Military exercises are still ongoing around the Al-Jalama checkpoint north of Jenin, accompanied by intermittent live gunfire near the camp, which has been largely emptied of its residents due to the assault.

Approximately 600 homes in Jenin Camp have been destroyed, while nearly 3,000 housing units are now uninhabitable. This situation has severely worsened the economic conditions, with thousands of displaced residents having lost their livelihoods — significantly increasing poverty rates in Jenin’s community and further compounding the deepening humanitarian crisis in the area.

The number of displaced residents from the camp has reached around 21,000, distributed across the Jenin Governorate — including 6,000 in the city itself, 4,181 in the town of Burqin, and 32,000 in the housing facilities of the Arab American University.

The aggression on Jenin city and its camp has resulted in the martyrdom of 38 people, while the occupation bulldozers continue their wide-scale destruction of Jenin’s main roads and infrastructure. This comes alongside systematic sabotage by tanks — marking the first time the city has been stormed by tanks since 2002.
