On Monday, the Israeli army has besieged and attacked the northern West Bank city of Jenin, the Jenin refugee camp, and surrounding towns and villages for 28 consecutive days.
Since it began its so-called “Iron Wall” operation, beginning in the Jenin governorate on January 21, the Israeli army has killed 25 Palestinian citizens, including women and children, in the governorate, and abducted more than 150 citizens in the Jenin refugee camp.
WAFA correspondent reported that the Israeli military vehicles began paving several new roads in the Jenin refugee camp and closed the main entrance to the camp with mounds of earth.
Media sources said that at least 150 Palestinians have been abducted by occupation soldiers, while dozens more have been subjected to field interrogation, over the past 28 days.
Sources added soldiers stormed and searched the home of the slain brothers, Hamam and Harith Hashash in Jenin city, the family was notified of the army’s intent to demolish the home, while a large infantry unit stormed the Al-Amer family home.
Israeli forces have caused unprecedented destruction to citizens’ property, including homes and shops, while razing vital infrastructure, including streets in the city and its camp.
Meanwhile, on Monday evening, occupation forces assaulted a Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) ambulance crew who were transporting a patient in the Jenin refugee camp, despite having coordinated the transfer with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
According to Ragheb Abu Diak, the coordinator of the National and Islamic Forces in Jenin, 90% of the residents of the Jenin refugee camp have been forcibly displaced by occupation forces since January 21.
Abu Diak stated that Israeli forces have forcibly displaced at least 20,000 citizens in the Jenin governorate, while destroying and damaging at least 470 homes.
In related news, occupation soldiers invaded, on Monday evening, the town of Ya’bad, west of Jenin, sparking protests; no injuries or arrests were reported.
