On Friday, Israeli soldiers injured many Palestinians and abducted a young man, during a nonviolent procession against the illegal Israeli colonies in Tuqu town, east of Bethlehem, in the occupied West Bank.

Taiseer Abu Mfarreh, the Mayor of Tuqu, said the Palestinians marched in a meadow in Tuqu against Israel’s illegal colonialist activities and takeover of their lands before the soldiers fired many gas bombs and concussion grenades at them, causing many to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation.

Abu Mfarreh added that the soldiers abducted Abed Hussein Hmeid, 19, and detained Hasan Breijiyya, the head of the Bethlehem office of the Wall & Colonization Resistance Commission.

The Israeli colonizers are trying to pave a road in the countryside to establish new illegal outposts to occupy more than 400 Dunams of private Palestinian lands.
