Israeli occupation forces carried out coordinated invasions across the occupied West Bank early Wednesday, abducting at least 25 Palestinians, including a child, and subjecting several others to violent assaults. Israeli colonizers injured a child on her way to school near Hebron.
In the Bethlehem governorate, troops invaded the town of Tuqu’ and the village of al-Jab’a, storming and ransacking the homes of Mohammad Thieb al-Amour and Mohammad Mahmoud al-Amour in Tuqu’, as well as the home of Yaqub Lutfi Abu Latifa in al-Jab’a.
In occupied East Jerusalem, soldiers assaulted two young men riding a motorcycle in Beit Hanina, north of the city, beating them before abducting one.
In the central West Bank, Israeli forces abducted Hamza Adnan Mohammad Shahin from the Um al-Sharayet neighborhood of Al-Bireh after surrounding a residential building.
In Hebron, in the southern West Bank, Israeli forces abducted 16 Palestinians, including 15-year-old Dia’ Eyad Yasser Masharqa. The abductees also include Mousa Ibrahim Shawamra; Amjad, Majed, and Hisham Issa Shawamra from the town of Dura; Wasim Mohammad Mahmoud Masharqa and his brother Musab; Luay Abdul-Jalil Masharqa from Hijra village; Bara’ Ibrahim Hassan al-Hreini; Ismail Amour Abu Dayya; Raed Ibrahim Mohammad; Atef Raba’ and his son Mo’men from Yatta; and Yazan Issam al-Moeiwi and his brother Hashem from al-Fawwar refugee camp.
In Beit Ummar, north of Hebron, activist Mohammad Awad reported that Israeli forces invaded several neighborhoods, stormed and ransacked numerous homes, and abducted former political prisoner Ayesh Abdul-Nasser Ayesh Ekhlayyel, 30.
Local sources confirmed that Israeli troops physically assaulted several detainees during home invasions, subjecting them to severe beatings and abuse.
Simultaneously, occupation forces erected military roadblocks at key entrances to Hebron and its surrounding towns and refugee camps, sealing off main and secondary roads with iron gates, concrete blocks, and earth mounds.
In related news, illegal Israeli paramilitary colonizers assaulted a Palestinian child, Jouri Mohammad Badawi, while heading to her school in the Tiwana area in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, terrorizing her and causing cuts and bruises.
In the northern West Bank city of Nablus, Israeli forces stormed multiple neighborhoods, ransacked homes, and abducted three young men: Mohammad Shadi Salah from Jabal al-Shamali, Shadi al-Qutob from the al-Tur area, and Ali al-Qoqa from Jerusalem Street.
In the Balata refugee camp, southeast of Nablus, troops invaded residential areas and abducted Mohammad Marshoud and Salim al-Shawa after raiding their homes.
In Jenin, also in the northern West Bank, the army invaded the town of Ya’bad and abducted Mohammad Jihab Abu Bakr, 24, just hours after his release from an Israeli prison following 28 months of captivity.
His father stated that soldiers handcuffed and abducted his son under the pretext that he and his relatives had celebrated his release the previous night.
Abu Bakr had spent 28 months under Administrative Detention orders—without charge or trial.
In the northwestern West Bank city of Qalqilia, Israeli forces abducted Ra’fat Owaisi, in his twenties, from his home in the city, and a child, Gheith Amin Shawahna, after invading and ransacking his home in Kafr Thuluth town, east of Qalqilia.
Earlier, occupation troops had stormed the nearby towns of Kafr Thulth and Azzoun, east of Qalqilia, and patrolled their streets without reporting any arrests.
In Tulkarem, in northwestern West Bank, the soldiers invaded Shweika suburb, stormed and ransacked homes before abducting Raed Awni Na’alwa.
In Tubas, in northeastern West Bank, the soldiers invaded Tammun town, southeast of the city, and closed several streets before withdrawing.
