Israeli occupation forces launched a wide-scale invasion across multiple areas of Bethlehem Governorate, in the occupied West Bank, earlier on Thursday, abducting three Palestinians, including a journalist, storming homes, and injuring a resident with live fire.

Media sources said journalist Osaid Amarna was abducted by Israeli forces at a military roadblock near “Qaber Hilwa,” close to Dar Salah village, while driving through the area.

Amarna, a resident of Deheishe refugee camp, south of Bethlehem, was forcibly removed from his vehicle before the soldiers abducted him.

In a separate incident, 21-year-old Abdullah Hussein Al-Wahsh was abducted from Beit Ta’mar, east of Bethlehem, after Israeli soldiers broke into his father’s home and conducted a violent search.

The invasion extended to Za’tara town, where occupation forces broke into the homes of brothers Ahmad and Jamal Mahmoud Thweib, ransacking their belongings.

West of Bethlehem, Israeli troops invaded the city of Beit Jala, deploying in the Al-Manshiyya and Normandy neighborhoods near Al-Sahl Street.

Also, the soldiers abducted Shadi Mohammad Al-Badawna from his home in the Al-Jadawil area in Beit Jala.

In Wadi Al-Hummus, northeast of Bethlehem, Israeli soldiers shot with live ammunition a 36-year-man in the leg. The Palestinian Red Crescent confirmed that the wounded man was transferred to Beit Jala Hospital for treatment.

These coordinated invasions reflect the intensifying military campaign across the occupied West Bank, marked by arbitrary arrests, home invasions, and the targeting of journalists and civilians.

Under international law, such actions constitute grave violations of the Fourth Geneva Convention, which prohibits collective punishment and the targeting of protected persons in occupied territories.
