Israeli occupation forces invaded several towns and villages across Salfit Governorate in the central West Bank at dawn Friday, abducting five Palestinian civilians in a coordinated campaign targeting political and community leaders.

Among those abducted was Abdul-Sattar Awad, Secretary of the Fatah movement in Salfit, along with regional youth leader Muammar Zayqan, office director Adel Al-Khuffash, and youth coordinator Essam Harb, who was taken after soldiers stormed his home in the village of Iskaka.

Two other civilians, Humam Aziz Al-Fattash and Riyad Al-Salfiti, were also abducted following violent searches of their homes.

During the invasions, Israeli soldiers ransacked homes, assaulted residents, and confiscated personal belongings.

From the home of Salim Ma’ali, the soldiers confiscated 14,200 shekels in cash, along with a gold necklace and ring. Witnesses reported extensive damage to property and physical abuse of civilians during the searches.

This incursion is part of a sustained campaign of repression targeting Salfit, where Israeli forces routinely invade Palestinian communities, carry out mass abductions, and subject residents to collective punishment.

Earlier Friday, illegal paramilitary colonizers launched a coordinated nighttime invasion of Khallet al-Dabe’, one of the 19 Palestinian hamlets that make up Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, in the occupied West Bank’s southern part, wounding at least 20 Palestinians, including seven children, and a four-month-old infant, and resulted in the destruction of homes and agricultural lands.
