On Saturday evening, Israeli soldiers abducted four Palestinians near Jenin in the northern West Bank, injured many, and caused damage to shops near Hebron in the southern part of the occupied territory.
Media sources in Nablus said the soldiers abducted four young men at the Huwwara military roadblock south of the city after the soldiers stopped and searched dozens of cars and interrogated many Palestinians while inspecting their ID cards.
The Palestinians, identified as Mahmoud Mohammad Fashafsha, Mohammad Khaled Balsha, Qais Mohammad Zidan, and Nayef Mahmoud Khaliliyya, from Jaba’ town, south of Jenin, were heading to Jericho.
In the West Bank’s southern part of Hebron, the soldiers invaded the Al-Arroub refugee camp north of the city, leading to protests, and fired rubber-coated steel bullets, gas bombs, and concussion grenades.
Medical sources said a young man was shot with a rubber-coated steel bullet in the leg, fired by the soldiers at him from a close range while working in his father’s shop before the medics rushed him to a hospital in Hebron.
The soldiers also fired live rounds at a shop in the same area, smashing its glass door and leading to damage inside the shop before the soldiers closed the iron gate at the town’s main entrance.
