Earlier Wednesday, Israeli occupation forces invaded the town of Beit Ummar in Hebron, located in the southern part of the occupied West Bank, detaining dozens of Palestinians, assaulting them, and subjecting them to field interrogations.

Local media activist Mohammad Awad reported that Israeli forces carried out sweeping invasions and detentions targeting dozens of residents, most of whom are former political prisoners. Soldiers stormed numerous homes, ransacked their contents, and smashed doors, furniture, and personal belongings.

The detainees were forced into the yard of Beit Ummar Secondary School, where they were physically assaulted and verbally abused. Occupation troops also distributed warning leaflets to residents.

In a separate invasion, Israeli forces stormed the town of Dura and broke into the home of Fatah Secretary Nader Azmi Abu Hlayyel.

Also, soldiers from the army’s engineering corps placed markings inside the house and left its contents in a state of devastation.

Meanwhile, Israeli forces erected multiple military roadblocks at the entrances to Hebron and its surrounding towns, villages, and refugee camps. Several main and secondary roads were sealed off with iron gates, concrete blocks, and earth mounds.

In related news, the soldiers invaded Askar refugee camp, east of the northern West Bank city of Nablus, before storming and ransacking homes.

Furthermore, the army invaded the town of az-Zawiya west of Salfit in central West Bank, storming and thoroughly searching several homes, and ransacking their contents.

Eyewitnesses reported that the army broke into multiple residences, including the home of former prisoner Ayman Moqadi, and deployed across several neighborhoods during the operation. The soldiers also fired many flares as they moved through the area.

In a separate invasion, Israeli forces stormed the New Askar refugee camp east of Nablus, in northern West Bank.
