Israeli occupation forces carried out a series of invasions and abductions across the occupied West Bank on Monday, targeting multiple towns, refugee camps, and neighborhoods from Bethlehem in the southern West Bank to Tulkarem and Jenin in the north.
In the southern West Bank, Israeli forces invaded the town of Tuqu’, southeast of Bethlehem, and abducted Bashir Ibrahim Abu Mofarreh after breaking into his home.
Local journalists said the soldiers deployed in the center of the town, leading to protests during which the army fired live rounds, toxic gas, and concussion grenades. No injuries were reported.
The soldiers also installed a military roadblock in the town of al‑Khader, south of Bethlehem, stopping and searching vehicles.
Israeli forces also invaded the town of Beit Fajjar, south of Bethlehem, where they deployed in several neighborhoods, broke into homes, and searched them.
In the northwestern West Bank, Israeli forces abducted two Palestinians from Tulkarem after breaking into their homes during dawn invasions. Media sources said the army abducted Maher Sharha from his home in the eastern neighborhood of the city, and Mohammad Farsan Na’alwa from his home in the Shweika area, north of Tulkarem.
Later in the morning, Israeli soldiers opened fire at a Palestinian vehicle at the ‘Ennab military roadblock, east of Tulkarem, claiming an attempted vehicular attack. Local sources confirmed that at least one person was injured.
The Palestinian Red Crescent said its medics were prevented from reaching the wounded individual after receiving an alert about the shooting.
Israeli forces closed the gate at the military roadblock and forced vehicles to turn back in both directions. The identity and condition of the injured person remained unclear at the time of reporting due to the army’s continued closure of the area and heightened military measures.
In the northern West Bank, Israeli forces invaded the village of ‘Asira al‑Qibliya, south of Nablus, where they broke into several homes, searched them, and abducted Jihad Khaled Abdul‑Rahim.
In a separate invasion, soldiers stormed the Ras al‑‘Ein neighborhood in the city of Nablus, searched homes, and ransacked property, though no abductions were reported.
In the northern West Bank district of Jenin, Israeli forces installed a military roadblock at the entrance to the town of ‘Ajjah, south of Jenin, stopping vehicles, searching them, and preventing residents from entering or leaving the town. The soldiers also obstructed traffic on the Jenin–Nablus road.
In the central West Bank, the soldiers abducted three Palestinians from the Ramallah and al‑Bireh Governorate during dawn invasions.
The army broke into the home of Hamza Salah, 22, in the Jalazone refugee camp north of Ramallah, searched the property, and abducted him.
Soldiers also abducted Murad Khaled al‑Barghouthi from the town of Beit Rima, and Mohammad Hussein al‑Barghouthi from the nearby town of Deir Ghassana, northwest of Ramallah.
In the central West Bank district of Salfit, Israeli forces launched a series of invasions in the city of Salfit, breaking into numerous homes.
Local sources said the army conducted widespread searches, though the number of Palestinians abducted during the operation remained unclear.
In the northeastern West Bank, Israeli forces abducted two Palestinians from the Aqabat Jabr refugee camp and the city of Jericho.
Ayed Barahma, director of the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society in Jericho, stated that the army broke into the home of Montaser Ali Salama in the Aqabat Jabr refugee camp, south of Jericho, and abducted him.
Soldiers also abducted Khaled Hussein Mousa Barahma after breaking into his home in the Katef al‑Wad neighborhood of Jericho.
It is worth noting that Israeli soldiers shot and killed Ramzi Abdul‑Hakim al‑‘Awawda, 22, at dawn on Monday in the village of Khursa, near Dura town, southwest of Hebron in the occupied West Bank’s southern part, before preventing medical crews from reaching him and later taking his body to an undisclosed location.
