Israeli forces carried out multiple actions across the West Bank on Tuesday, seizing vehicles in a village east of Qalqilia, abducting a young man from a town east of Tulkarem and installing a metal gate on a main road north of Jericho.
Israeli police invaded the village of al-Funduq, east of Qalqilia, in northern West Bank, and seized four vehicles, claiming they were parked along the main road.
Residents said the move was meant to pressure the community, noting that the road is vital for daily movement and lined with shops serving nearby villages.
In Bal’a, east of Tulkarem in northwestern West Bank, Israeli forces abducted Younes Ali Abu Younes after invading and searching his home before taking him to an undisclosed location.
North of Jericho, in northeastern West Bank, Israeli forces installed a metal gate in both directions on the ‘Ein Shibli Road, disrupting traffic and delaying residents.
Local reporters said the location is expected to become the new site of the military roadblock known as “al-Hamra,” which controls movement between Nablus, Tubas, and Jericho.
In related news, several military vehicles invaded Ya’bad town, south of Jenin in northern West Bank, stormed and ransacked several shops in addition to detaining and assaulting several young men.
It is worth mentioning that Israeli forces carried out sweeping invasions across multiple areas of the West Bank overnight and into Tuesday morning, abducting dozens of Palestinians in Nablus, Jenin, Qalqilia, Bethlehem, occupied Jerusalem, and Hebron.
